The Phoenix Film Critics have awarded "12 Years a Slave" with the Best Picture of the year award.
The movie also went home with the Best Adapted Screenplay accolade and the Best Supporting Actress.
The other big winner was "Gravity," which took home more awards than any other film. The movie won Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design and Best Visual Effects.
Meanwhile, Matthew McConaughey was crowned the Best Actor of the year for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club." His co-star Jared Leto also took home the Best Supporting Actor prize.
"American Hustle" won the Best Ensemble award while "Nebraska" won the Best Original Screenplay award.
"Frozen" was another big winner, taking home the Best Animated film award as well the Best Song and Best Score awards.
"Blue is the Warmest Color" took home another trophy for Best Foreign Film while "20 Feet from Stardom" took home its second prize in the precursor awards.
The Youth Breakthrough awards went to Tye Sheridan for "Mud," while Sophie Nelisse won for "The Book Thief." Meanwhile, Oscar Issac and Lake Bell won for their achievements in Breakthrough performance behind the camera.
The Phoenix Film Critics are known for swaying toward the ultimate Oscar nominees. Recent winners include "Argo," "The Artist," "The King's Speech," "Inglorious Basterds," and "Slumdog Millionaire."
The association has critics that include Neil Choen from Echo Magazine, Joseph Airdo from Examiner.com and Phil Villarreal from OK Magazine.
