He may not know a lot about her or her music, but Michael J. Fox does know one thing about country-pop singer Taylor Swift and that's that she needs to stay far away from his son.
Following a quip for Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, where they advised the singer with a long relationships record to stay away from Fox's son, Sam Michael, Fox reportedly told a reporter he agreed.
"You know Taylor Swift, you stay away from Michael J. Fox's son," Fey said. "Or go for it," Poehler countered. "No, she needs some 'me time' to learn about herself," Fey insisted.
Despite looking cool, calm and collected during the joke, it appears Fox wants nothing to do with Swift.
According to CBS News, Fox told Vulture.com, "No. No...Just back off," when asked whether he would support a romance between the two 23-year-olds. He added, "I do;t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career."
The 51-year-old went as far as to say he wouldn't recognize the blond starlet if he son actually brought her home for dinner. "I wouldn't even know who she was," he said. But would probably piece it together later if a song came up about his son. "Yeah, exactly. 'Sam, You Piece of [Expletive].' Oh...that was the girl you brought home!"
Swift, who most recently was linked up to One Direction's Harry Styles, may have to look elsewhere for her Mr. Right.
