Gamers awaiting the new "Tomb Raider" title will have to wait until the game's release date to try out the new adventure.
According to numerous reports, game studio Crystal Dynamics will not be releasing a demo of the title. The company's globe brand director made the announcement on Twitter and noted that the reason for not releasing the demo was to not spoil the story. He added that, "We've weaved such a personal story we don't believe spoiling it by having you wait a week or so to play on, delivers on our promise."
He also noted that players will not have access to a season or online pass to access all of the game's downloadable content for a discounted price. "Reading some of your comments/questions about @tombraider multiplayer. Just so were all on the same age, there's no Season or Online Pass," tweeted Stewart.
IGN notes that the move is strange because "These days it's pretty standard fare for companies to offer a season or online pass so players can get all the latest map packs as soon as they drop."
The title is the first to implement multiplayer content in the series and will launch on March 5 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The story of the title is supposedly focusing on Laura Croft's origins.
