Rumors are swirling around that Twilight co-stars and lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have called it quits.
It's only been a few months since Stewart snuck off and had an affair with Rupert Sanders, the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman, which Stewart later described as a "momentary indiscretion."
The Sun is reporting that Pattinson broke things off with Stewart last weekend and opted to attend the Golden Globes ceremony in LA alone. According to a source, "She flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob's date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off. He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight."
The insider also reported that "Kristen's upset but understands. She shouldn't have pushed him to reconcile after her infidelity. She's hoping he'll come around and time will be a great healer."
However, Gossipcop.com gave a conflicting report about the couple saying that the two are still together and pointed to their appearance at a Golden Globes after party together as evidence.
Us Weekly also reports that the two hung out at Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's after party at Soho House in West Hollywood. "They hung around each other, but [they weren't] on top of each other," a source confirmed. They "hung out and stayed close for over an hour," before party hopping with friends.
Despite the conflicting reports, we do know that Pattinson has departed to Adelaide, Australia to shoot David Michod's new futuristic western film The Rover Down Under. He'll be there for several weeks, so we'll have to wait and see if the separation makes or breaks their relationship.
