Pablo and his men hide out in one of his henchmen's homes. He asks one of them to keep watch. When one of the men asks what they will do next, he says that they need to get back to the negotiating table with the national government. He then asks to communicate with his wife despite knowing that her line could be tapped. Patricia responds and tells him that her cousin was shot and killed. He tells her that he and his men had to escape because the government was planning on having the military kill him in prison. Escobar also promises to find out what happened with her cousin. She tells him that a sign saying "PEPES" was found on him.
It is then revealed that the Cali Cartel is responsible for the murder. They are planning to kill off all of Pablo's family members for the "good of the country." They also revealed that the Mottoas do not plan to be involved in the cartel war.
Pablo and his men split up. Some of them go in search of the "PEPES" while Pablo hides out in a remote location. Meanwhile, the military searches through the prison and some members are distracted by strippers on TV. The commander calls them out for not doing their jobs.
Back in Bogota, the President gives a press conference in which he claims that Escobar has broken his pact by escaping. He announces that he has created a special military group to seek out Escobar and his sidekicks. The "PEPES" show up in one of Escobar's homes and destroy it.
Meanwhile, Patricia talks to Pedro Mottoa to ask him what she should do? She feels unsafe, alone, and has no idea how to protect her family. He tells her that there is nothing she can do other than ask her husband to turn himself in. She asks him to tell her who the "PEPES" are. He does not tell her but insists that Pablo needs to turn herself in.
Time has passed and Escobar has a fully-fledged beard. He tells his men that they have to leave their current sanctuary. They must keep a low profile because there are too many people following them around. He tells them that they must continue the war and blow up the entire country to regain control. El Topo tells him that getting more dynamite is too difficult, but Escobar tells him he has to figure that out on his own.
Telemundo has started to announced its next soap opera "Senor De Los Cielos" which is slated to replace "Escobar." The network has started to announced that the series is coming to an end on Thursday Jan. 24.
