Back in October, Capcom released "Resident Evil 6" for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The company later unveiled that it would bring the title to the PC at a later date, but did not mention any plans to bring "Resident Evil 6" to the Wii U.
Recent rumors have surfaced that the new Nintendo console might still get a dosage of Capcom's zombie franchise. The Official Nintendo Magazine recently hinted that the Wii U would be getting a new Resident Evil when it released a two page spread in its last issue with the tag line "Are you scared? You should be? World Exclusive! The first look at a stunning new game."
The picture on the right side shows a bunch of pipes and engineering which is reminiscent of the ship setting in "Resident Evil: Revelation." The title was originally released on the Nintendo 3DS handheld system, but has since been confirmed in a HD version for the Xbox 360 and PS3. This has created buzz about the title coming to the Wii U in High Definition as well.
The next issue of Official Nintendo Magazine will be released on Feb. 13 and could either substantiate or end the speculation. Capcom did not release the last two major titles in the franchise for the Nintendo Wii. The Wii did get a port of "Resident Evil 4" but Nintendo console owners never got a chance to tackle "Resident 5" or "6."
