The smartphone market is continuing to offer a variety of options, and this time the focus will be on the Nokia Lumia 920 and the LG Nexus 4.

How similar or differences are the new smartphones?

Let's see the numbers.

The Lumia 920 and Nexus 4 are available for 2G and 3G networks, but the Nokia smartphone is open for 4G networks.

The Nexus 4's frame is measured at 5.27-inches in length, width of 2.70-inches, and a depth of 0.36-inches. The Lumia 920 is measured at a length of 5.13-inches, 2.79-inches for width, and 0.42 for depth.

When it comes to which smartphone is the heaviest, the Lumia 920 takes the crown with 6.53-ounces compared to 4.90-inches.

The display size is larger for the Nexus 4, featuring a 4.7-inch screen with 1,280x768 pixel resolution and 318 pixels per inch (ppi). The Lumia 920 has a screen size of 4.5-inches, 332 ppi, and the same pixel resolution as the Nexus 4.

The internal storages and memory for the two devices vary in both GB and RAM. The Lumia 920 is available only in the 32GB model with 1GB of RAM. The Nexus 4 offers 8GB and 16GB but at 2GB of RAM. The Lumia and Nexus smartphone do not offer a microSD card slot.

The wireless connectivity's are similar for the most part. Both smartphones offer Wi-Fi 803.22 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Near Field Communication (NFC), microUSB, and Bluetooth version 4.0.

The camera specs are also similar with the rear-facing camera having eight-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels with LED flash. The front-facing cameras for both devices are 1.3-megapixels. When it comes to video recording, both record at 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The operating system for the Nexus 4 is Android version 4.2, also known as the Jelly Bean. The smartphone is upgradable to version 4.2.1, still known as the Jelly Bean. The Lumia 920 utilizes Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system.

The Lumia 920 and Nexus 4 utilize Qualcomm for their chipset. The Nokia smartphone uses the Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon while the Nexus 4 using the MSM8960 Snapdragon while both processors running on the dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait.

The battery capacity for the Nexus 4 is slightly better than the Lumia 920 with 2,100 mAh to 2,000 mAh.

As for color options, the Nexus 4 is available in black while the Lumia 920 has touted itself for its colorful smartphones, featuring black, gray, red, yellow, and white.
