Little is known about the upcoming Xbox 720 or Playstation 4, but one title has already been announced for the upcoming consoles. That title is CD Projekt's "Cyberpunk 2077," a game based on the famous pen-and-paper game Cyberpunk 2020.
A new trailer on the game has been released and it depicts a great deal about the expectations of the title and the world of the game. The trailer does not feature any gameplay, but according to IGN, developer CD Projekt's goal is to make the gameplay graphics as realistic as those of the cinematic in the trailer. There is no telling whether that will actually be possible, but there is still plenty of time before the game's 2015 release to achieve that result.
The woman in the trailer looks like a robot, but according to IGN the people in the world of Cyberpunk "modify themselves with artificial elements in search of an ideal beauty." Apparently, this is a part of the game design as too many modifications can clash with the organic elements of the character and potentially drive them crazy. Players will start the game with the ability to create their own characters and then experience the game's setting of Night City as an open world experience; there are supposedly few obstacles. There are however MAX-TAC agents, known as the Psycho Squad, that are sent out to control the people that go crazy.
CD Projekt RED Managing Director Adam Badowski noted that the players will "get access to a rich arsenal of firearms, but if you want to have blades because they look cool, go for it. All these elements will make it into Cyberpunk 2077. 'Style Over Substance' is our core theme, after all."
The game is expected to launch on the Playstation 4 and Xbox 720.
