The MLS has unveiled its new schedule for the 2013 season.

The season gets underway on March 2 with six matches. Philadelphia will take on Sporting Kansas City while Vancouver and Toronto FC will duel. FC Dallas will host Colorado, Seattle will meet with Montreal, Chivas USA will face Columbus, and Houston will battle D.C. United on national television.

Each one of the league's 19 teams will play 34 matches, 17 at home and 17 away, during the course of 35 weeks. The league will maintain the 2012 model for inter conference play with every team playing the same number of inter-conference and out-of-conference games.

The 2013 regular season will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 27. The MLS Cup 2013 will be played on either Dec. 7 or 8 though details have yet to be finalized.
More importantly, most of the games will take place on weekends or holidays and will not interfere with World Cup 2014 qualifying matches.

Fans of the sport will be happy to know that every single one of the 323 matches will be televised live - 87 via national network partners ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, NBC, NBC Sports Network, Univision and UniMás in the United States.

The league will also have a strong media presence in Canada with close to 30 games featuring Canadian clubs being aired on TSN/TSN2 in English and RDS/RDS2 in French.
