"Transformers 4" is one of the most hotly anticipated films in Hollywood and any bit of news is greeted with great enthusiasm.
Director Michael Bay has decided to start building the hype for his film by revealing new information on his personal website. The first major bit of news is the casting of unknown Irish actor James Raynor who Bay claims is "the real deal." Bay states that "I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal."
He also chimed in on the film's plot and whether it is a reboot of the franchise or a continuation of the story he had created in the first four films. Bay asserts that the film is not a reboot and takes place four years after the war in Chicago. He also claims that the story makes a strong transition and gives a good reason for the new cast.
Bay also reveals that this is the first film of a new trilogy that will be different in feel. According to MTV, Raynor is set to play a race car driver and the boyfriend of co-star Mark Wahlberg's daughter. The role of the daughter has not been cast up to this moment.
The film is slated for a summer 2014 release date.
