A few weeks ago, Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao apparently agreed to move to Chelsea. The deal, however, was called off when Falcao claimed to be interested in staying put with his current club Atletico Madrid. Now, new rumors are surfacing about the Colombian striker already having a deal in place.
According to a rumor from UK publication The Mirror, Falcao is already set to play for Real Madrid in a pre-determined deal. The rumor cropped up when Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo stated on Spanish television that "Falcao has had something signed with Real Madrid for some time."
The report contradicts Falcao's attitude about his future. The striker stated that he will likely finish the season with Atletico and that he is open to moving to the Italian League in the future. "Right now I am thinking only of the present," Falcao told reporters according to ESPN. "However, you can never say never - who knows what is in store for me? I do not exclude a future in Italy. I do have a favorite club [there], but I would prefer not to tell you."
If Falcao was in fact set to move to Real Madrid, then it is unlikely he even mentions the Italian league and his "favorite team." However, the striker may just be maintaining a professional attitude about the process in order to avoid creating problems for his team.
