Antonio Vazquez, Mexico City's famous tarot card reader and self-proclaimed "Grand Warlock" predicts that the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who is currently battling cancer, will be dead by April - many Venezuelans hope otherwise.
The good news is that the 72-year-old Shaman has often solicited his predictions on major world events, most of which have been incorrect: in 2006 he predicted that Germany would win the World Cup; then in 2008 he predicted the death of Cuban Prime Minister Fidel Castro, and in 2012 he predicted that President Barrack Obama would lose the elections to Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
In the meantime, people in the nation are chanting and praying for the health of their president since 1999. According to the Guardian.co.uk, people in the streets are chanting "Oo, ah, Chávez no se va," which translates to Chávez won't go.
"We are all very confused. We have no idea what to expect. I pray for his recovery but I am expecting the worst," said Joaquín Cavarcas, a Guradian Correspondent who is currently at the Ciudad CCS newspaper for the latest update.
The 58-year-old Chavez was rushed to the hospital on Friday for severe respiratory infection. He has been operated four times in the past year and half for an undisclosed cancer. Officials say that his condition is serious.
Chavez was recently re-elected to a position he is more than familiar with- the president of Venezuela. The general assumption is that Chavez's condition is so severe that he would miss his inauguration and swearing-in for the new term. The ceremony is supposed to take place at the National Assembly in a week.
Chavez rose to power in 1997 as the leader of the Fifth Republican Movement. Then he became the leader of United Socialist Party of Venezuela. He is noted for his introducing Bolivarianism, a type of socialistic government, which Chavez and his party-members describe as 'Socialism for the 21st Century."
