"It was just perfect timing," adds Alexis, 29, who told the magazine that she was experiencing morning sickness but overall, "can't complain!"
Stoudemire and his wife are expecting their newborn in the spring.
The Knicks forward was considered the start of the Knicks' rebuilding process after New York signed the multiple-time NBA All-Star in the 2010 offseason. Stoudemire went on to start in the 2011 NBA All-Star game that season, although a slew of injuries and personal issues such as the death of his brother, Hazell, who died in a car accident in February 2012.
On Tuesday, Stoudemire returned to full-time action for the Knicks after surgery in his left knee forced him to miss the first two months of the regular season.
On Friday, the Knicks forward paid tribute to his late brother on Twitter.
"Thinking about my brother Hazell today, Happy Birthday big bro always looking down on us," Stoudemire tweeted.
