Amazon is offering a discount to one of their Kindle Fire HD tablets as students prepare to return for another semester.
The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" tablet is available for $299.00 for the 16GB with Amazon's special offers option and $314.00 without the special offers. The 32GB model of the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" is available for $369.00 with the special offers but $384 without the special offers.
However, a $50 discount is available.
Amazon's "Student Members" subscribers are eligible for the $50 discount as long as they have an active Prime account, which is free for the first six months then $39 per year. The deal is said to be for the entire month of January, according to SlashGear.
The $50 deal is similar to one done last month in time for the holiday shopping season.
The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" has an 8.9-inch screen with 1,920x1,200 pixel resolution, 16GB and 32GB internal storage, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and utilizes the Android operating system.
