With less than a month before his second inauguration, President Barack Obama's job approval numbers are showing to be better than George W. Bush when he was heading into his second term.
According to Gallup's daily tracking, President Obama approval numbers stand at 53 percent while 41 percent disapprove. The poll was conducted between Dec. 28 and Dec. 30 among 1,500 adults and a margin of error of three percent.
Obama's Gallup numbers have been consistent with the previous tracking poll where he maintained the 53 percent approval rating but has lost one disapproval percentage at 42 percent.
The first job approval rating published in 2013, provided by Real Clear Politics (RCP), is by Rasmussen Reports.
The Scott Rasmussen-led organization surveyed 1,500 likely voters between Dec. 29, 2012 and Jan. 2, 2013 has showed a 15 percent spread between the approval and disapproval rating. Obama's job approval rating stands at 57 percent while 42 percent disapproves.
In comparison to President Bush as he slowly entered 2005 to start his second term, Bush's approval numbers was at 49.5 percent while 45.5 disapproved, according to RCP averages. Meanwhile, Obama's approval average is higher at 53.4 percent and disapproval rating is lower at 42.1 percent.
