Apple is known for rarely discounting its own products, but lucky for us, third-party retailers exist. There now exists a variety of deals an aspiring iPhone 5 owner can pursue: here's some of the best of them.
Fry's is offering the best deal on the iPhone 5, beating out retailers like Walmart and Best Buy. Fry's is knocking almost $75 off the iPhone 5 in all models with a two-year contract. This makes the 16GB model $126, the 32GB model $226, and the 64GB model $326. The only kicker is that Fry's can't sell the iPhone 5 online, so you'll have to venture into one of their brick-and-mortar stores in order to take advantage of this deal. This might be tough, given that Fry's only has retail locations in nine states.
A more convenient, and only slightly more expensive option is to go through Walmart. Walmart is currently offering the 16GB iPhone 5 from Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T for $127. Walmart is also discounting the iPhone 4S, down to $47, and the iPad 3, which starts at $399 (the same price as the iPad 2 from Apple).
Best Buy comes in a close third, selling the iPhone 5 starting at $150.
All of these deals give shoppers no excuse not to pick up one of the most solid smartphones of the year. Supplies are abundant now, so it shouldn't be hard to walk into any of these major retailers and find the iPhone 5 model of your choice. With a 4-inch Retina display, LTE support, and access to the robust App Store, the iPhone 5 is almost unbeatable at these prices.
