Jennifer Aniston says that she is fascinated with 2016's first viral trend, the Taco Cleanse.
In a report by Yahoo Food, A-list celebrity Jennifer Aniston is on the list of people who are riveted by the Taco Cleanse. The actress was being interviewed about healthy eating since she is the ambassador for Smart Water's new sparkling water. At one point during the interview, the topic about the Taco Cleanse came up and that's when the actress immediately perked up. Aniston even Googled the new trendy diet in the middle of the interview to get more information.
"I'm riveted [by the Taco Cleanse]. I can see that being something," the actress said.
For those who aren't aware yet, the book "The Taco Cleanse: The Tortilla-Based Diet Proven to Change Your Life" became one of the most popular diet books in 2016 so far. It is basically a vegan plan where meals are substituted with tacos. The cookbook was written by self-proclaimed taco scientists Wes Allison, Molly R. Frisinger, Jessica Morris and Stephanie Bogdanich. They all claimed that they lost weight just by eating tacos for 30 days straight.
For those who might get misled by the title of the book or by the notion of the diet, the book didn't say that you need to keep eating chipotle everyday. The Tex-Mex inspired book presents 75 vegan recipes that can be substitute to regular fillings like beef, New York Daily News reported.
"The 'taco scientists' claim some significant health benefits from their pseudo-scientific taco cleanse, including waking up in the morning 'with new enthusiasm when you know your day is going to start with a breakfast of taco,'" the magazine reported.
Although the actress had some doubts about the surprising diet trend, Aniston admitted that the concept was interesting and that she already ordered the book on Amazon.
In an interview she did for Elle magazine before, Aniston revealed her morning and exercise routine. She said that she starts her morning with a cup of warm lemon or coffee. Then she will have a light breakfast like eggs and avocado. Depending on her work schedule, she will hit the gym if she is free. She also made it clear how important it is to hydrate yourself and drink lots of water.
As for exercises to keep her in shape, Aniston said that she usually does 20-30 minutes of cardio and an hour of barre method to maintain her fabulous figure.
