Needing a jolt of motivation to stay on track with your fitness resolutions? Let Adele's gym face inspire you to sweat it out and lose the pounds.
The "Hello" singer posted a snap on Twitter showing her doing her bit at the gym, albeit without looking like she enjoyed what she was doing. This somehow sends out a message to those struggling to get fit that while it's not necessarily a fun thing to do, putting in an hour (or minutes) into exercising will get you closer to your health goals. After all, Adele did show off a noticeable trimmer physique starting a few weeks ago, which she admitted was due to diet and trips to the gym.
This photo also somehow affirmed what Adele revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone last year about her dislike for exercise.
"I mainly moan," she noted. "I'm not, like, skipping to the f-ing gym. I don't enjoy it."
The thing is, she does get things done. And that's why her gym effort, as captured on camera, is inspiring.
"She looks like she is about to cry and is basically shouting via her facial expression, 'Do I really have to do this?!'" Bustle's Allyson Koerner observed. "The 27-year-old star is obviously is having some fun by posting this relatable picture."
The photo was captioned with "getting ready," which could refer to her upcoming tour of Europe and Northern America. She will be kicking off the 10-month tour on February 29 in Belfast, according to MailOnline. The tour will be her first since 2011, which was cut short due to vocal cord surgery to treat her vocal hemorrhage.
Come to think of it, how is she preparing her vocal cords? Will she be able to finish the tour this time around? After all, the issue that finally cancelled the rest of the 2011 tour dates wasn't her general fitness but her vocal health. However, it does help for her to be strong and fit enough for the tour so she's less likely to get sick and can withstand the physical rigors of the concert series.
Considering the star cut out cigarettes and alcohol from her diet, it appears she may be in a better condition to embark on such a tour than she was back in 2011. After all, she's afraid of damaging her voice again, as the 2011 incident taught her to "take your voice seriously."
