“Captain America: Civil War” is set to launch in a few months. Chris Evans recently shared some new details about the upcoming film, the plot and its characters.

Evans talked to Cineplex about the conflict among the various members of the Avengers in “Captain America: Civil War.” The growing rift between Captain America/Steve Rogers and Iron Man/Tony Stark will impact the whole team and cause changes to the two main characters.

“There’s a great parallel that they draw between my character and Tony Stark. It’s something we can all relate to in terms of how we perceive our own society and culture, in terms of what is best for people,” Evans explained.

He continued that between Democrats and Republicans, people have their own opinion of what is best. In the film, people saw the Avengers either as a group of heroes that can save the world or a huge threat.

“So it’s a matter of, do we monitor these people or do we let them monitor themselves? The beautiful thing with Civil War is that no one’s right and no one’s wrong; it’s just your personal opinion,” Evans continued.

The actor also told Cineplex that Captain America will go through an evolution. He grew up with structure and loved the chain of command and system but is subsequently unsure of trusting it. Tony Stark, on the other hand, used to be very independent and then realized that some order may be necessary.

ComingSoon wrote that “Captain America: Civil War” will show Steve Rogers at the helm of the new Avengers continuing their goal of protecting humanity. However, one incident resulted to collateral damage, where the government determined the possibility of monitoring the Avengers’ activities. Stark supported government interference while Rogers wanted the team to stay free, putting a gap between them and splitting the team into two.

Evans talked to Empire about the character, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), who will debut in the film. Panther will have a certain class and cachet, so the way he appears in the movie will give the audience someone to identify with. Several characters will also be returning for the prequel, namely Black Widow, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, The Vision, Hawkeye, War Machine, Winter Soldier, Agent 13, Baron Helmut Zero, Crossbones, Thunderbolt and Ant-Man.

“Captain America: Civil War” will release on May 6, 2016, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, ScreenRant wrote. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were behind the screenplay.
