A massive UFO was sighted over Brazil on Sunday, further fueling debates on whether aliens really exist.
The huge flying saucer was thought to be the same one flying over Earth earlier this month 1,200 miles in Bolivia, leading some people to think aliens are conducting a surveillance mission on our planet.
The December 27 sighting was captured by a woman living in southern Brazil named Marmel, Express reported. According to her, the camera equipment she used to capture the flying saucer seemed to have been damaged due to the UFO sighting.
Marmel also posted photos of the incident online, which showed blurry images of a disc-shaped flying object.
Marmel said she had been with her boyfriend, who was playing football at a sports ground in their area, at the time of sighting. After the encounter, she quickly snapped photos of the UFO with the valley beyond.
"The sky was clear and not even a bird to be seen. When I went back to the photo, I realised there was an object in the upper right hand corner of the photo, I looked up to see what it could be since there was nothing there when I snapped it, there was nothing in the sky and no noise," Marmel said.
"I noticed that the area around where the object appears on my screen, there were little lights on my screen that only go off when I switch off the screen. Even now they are on, seems like my phone was damaged. For the love of me, I can not identify what this object could be," she added.
The UFO over Brazil was thought by some people to be the same flying object that appeared in the skies of El Alto, La Paz, Bolivia on December 6.
A video of the incident was captured via mobile phone by Mario Prado.
UFO alien channel UFOVNI in YouTube uploaded Prado's clip, showing the same saucer-like aircraft as Marmel's, this time over trees and a mountain.
The YouTube post partly read:
"The UFO appeared behind a bush and after a slow progress, accelerated sharply in the opposite direction."
Not everyone was convinced of the video's authenticity, however, and some commenters said the UFO was simply a blimp. Some claim the video has been digitally altered just to get a good amount of hits on their channel.
According to Express, blogger Scott C Waring posted both UFO sightings on his website UFO Sightings Daily claiming "(They were) too fast to be a blimp."
There may be detractors, but a good number of people believe the videos to prove alien life outside our planet.
RT reported that other sightings also took place earlier this month in the states of California, Nevada and Arizona. However, the entity in question turned out to be part of a Russian space rocket.
