Super Bowl Half Time Slot is the biggest gig Coldplay has landed on. According to the band who sang "Fix You" people wont have any idea how grand their show is going to be. The event will be watched by 115 million Americans in US alone, it is indeed a big break for the lads.

According to Breaking News, the famous British rockers are asking Rihanna and "Queen B" Beyonce to help them out in their 12 minute performance at the iconic Super Bowl 50 which will be happening on February 7 2016 at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Coldplay would be considered as the first Brits to take the slot since The Who in 2010.

A Super Bowl insider said " Chris and his band know they’re not typically as showy as recent performers like Katy Perry and Madonna with all the dancers and, while they love a light show, they still want to bring a few surprises out." , he also added that "Beyonce and Rihanna are both keen to join in the high-profile ceremony and will add just the spark needed to make it an amazing and unforgettable show".

Beyonce has released vocals of 2 tracks "Hymm for the Weekend" and Up and Up from the Coldplay's latest album, "A Head Full Of Dreams" while Pop star Rihanna is expected to duet with Chris on the song Princess of China, which earned a spot on the UK top 5 hit and a top 20 hit in the US.

According to Mirror, the show director Hamis Hamilton hinted that the coldplay are going to surprise lots of people. He also praised the band by saying “They write great music. They’re great performers. They’re great individuals. They’re a great band. I think they and their energy and their positivity will surprise a lot of people in a very positive way.” Chris responded recently by admitting that he is very nervous about the event and said “That’s a big, big, big, big, big honour. It’s something we’ve dreamed about for a long time and it’s almost surreal we’re going to do it. We’re so focused on it right now, in terms of the detail, it allows us to ignore the fact of just how giant it is. At the moment I’m just thinking about the track and the stage. There’s going to be lots of opinions, which is OK.”
