Bandai Namco recently announced several upcoming games for 2016. The game publisher decided to begin the hype before the year ends by introducing a number of titles from some of its popular series.
Cinema Blend noted that the following titles will be included in Bandai Namco’s 2016 game lineup:
• Tales of Berseria
• JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven
• Gundam Extreme VS-Force
• God Eater: Resurrection
• God Eater 2: Rage Burst
• Ace Combat 7
• Tekken 7
• Ni no Kuni II
David Lee, a community specialist, also shared several details on the PlayStation Blog about the upcoming games from Bandai Namco.
“Tales of Berseria” will be playable on PlayStation 4. It is a role-playing game where players take on the role of Velvet, a woman on the path to revenge. “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven” is an action fighting game, playable on PlayStation 4. The game features two-versus-two combat where players can team up their favorite characters from the game universe.
Two titles from the “God Eater” franchise are also set to launch in 2016, playable on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will reportedly focus more on the story. Cinema Blend reported. “Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS-Force” will be playable on the PlayStation Vita, where gamers can play the single player mode or team up with others to control the famous mechs.
Wired wrote that “God Eater: Resurrection” is a remake of the first game that expanded greatly on its handhold origins. The official release dates for “Resurrection” and “Rage Burst” are still to be confirmed, although there are talks that the two will be launched near each other in summer 2016. Players get to experience real-time battles against the huge Aragami, using teams of heroes with advanced weapons. Players can also go for co-op play. The battle systems of the two games differ, however. “Resurrection” prefers powering up by consuming weakened enemies, while “Rage Burst” introduces a system called “Blood Arts,” which unlocks special moves for successive attacks. The combat in “Rage Burst” appears more aesthetic and faster.
Based on the same Wired report, other titles planned to release in 2016 include “Ace Combat 7,” Tekken 7,” and “Ni no Kuni II.” “Ace Combat” will spark the interest of combat flight simulators again, while “Tekken 7” will feature Akuma of “Street Fighter” as a guest fighter. The two games will include PlayStation VR support. “Ni no Kuni II” is the follow-up to the Level-5 RPG game.
More updates and details on Bandai Namco’s game titles are expected soon.
