Microsoft recently slashed the prices of its games for Xbox 360 and Xbox One for the holiday season. The recent promo, dubbed “The Countdown Sale,” will showcase several popular games.

CNET stated that the sale will start on Dec. 22, 2015 and end on Jan. 7, 2016. The big sale will include games like “Halo 5: Guardians,” “Forza Motorsport 6,” “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition,” “Destiny,” “Witcher III,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops III” and “Fallout 4,” among others. Aside from games, there will also be other available items like movies, apps and TV shows. Fans should expect daily and weekly packages and deals. These will all be available on the Xbox Store.

Microsoft suggested that fans go to the Countdown page beginning Dec. 22 to get new details and updates on the sale and available titles, Fox8 reported.

Cinema Blend noted that the sale is among the biggest in 2015. Microsoft even prepared a trailer to let people know about the promotional campaign. Gamers can expect to save as much as 40% to 60% on certain items. The sale will run for more than one week after the holiday season, so gamers might be able to acquire a few great titles.

CNET added that Microsoft is trying to bring in more last-minute holiday shoppers and fans who have long been looking for great deals after Christmas. The Xbox One has been second to the Sony PlayStation 4 in terms of sales, so the recent promo may help boost sales.
