A Samsung Galaxy S7 render was released early this week, and it features the best look that consumers could get of the highly anticipated phone's design. Perhaps most noticeable is its rectangular home button.
Steve Hemmerstoffer of nowhereelse.fr reportedly provided the website uSwitch a Galaxy S7 video with more details about its features while also showing a much larger exterior.
Phone accessory retailer Mobile Fun echoes the aforementioned report as the website has also reportedly received new Galaxy S7 case renders.
As noted by BGR, the first most noticeable feature in the new Samsung Galaxy S7 render is, like previous rumors, the device has a more rectangular home button compared with former Galaxy devices.
Another Samsung Galaxy S7 feature revealed in the new render is the phone appears to be equipped with a USB Type-C port, which is a fully reversible option since it is symmetrical. It's also worth noting that the highly anticipated device's main connector port is shown asymmetrical.
One unfortunate thing that could be a downside to the Samsung Galaxy S7, as seen in the render, is that there seems to be no sign of a microSD card slot. This means consumers would have to be content with what base storage the Korean giant decides on.
When Samsung crafted the Galaxy S6, its changes from the Galaxy S5 were evident. Apart from the materials Samsung used, the design was overhauled big time, which provided consumers with a handy device that's not only powerful but modern looking as well. It's a far cry from the supposedly cheap exteriors of the Galaxy S5.
As noted by Expert Reviews, with the new Galaxy S7 render, it appears Samsung has decided to stay on the safe side sticking to the S6 design, as opposed to creating something totally innovative.
Meanwhile, the apparent Galaxy S7 features as seen in the render were detailed by uSwitch. According to the website, the dimensions of the awaited flagship are at 163.4 x 82 x 7.82 millimeters, while its smaller version is measured at 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94 millimeters. Both the small and the larger Galaxy S7 are similar in design, apart from their size.
As for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus release dates, both are expected to be launched in the same day. However, there remains no released leaked renders of a Galaxy S7 edge. The edge version is reportedly something that even website BGR is excited about since it could sport a more innovative design than standard Galaxy S7 models.
