Motorola continues its drive to cover more device models and regions as far as releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is concerned, with the Moto E 2015 surprisingly scheduled to be the next in line.

This is surprising in the sense that the device was initially not included on the list of Motorola devices that would get the Android OS bump. That was beside the fact that the device is technically still among the latest handsets that Motorola had released this year, although not among the high-end ones in the market.

The list of devices pegged to get the Android 6.0 M was thus appended recently through a blog post by Motorola, although there were some hitches tied up with the said update.

One was that the Android 6.0 M update would be made available only to a select number of regions. That includes the Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Two big regions are mysteriously absent from that list (China and the United States), which means Moto E second-generation owners will have to find some other way to update their devices, such as custom ROMs.

Then again, there is a chance that Motorola may still append that list yet again, especially since the company is stating that it is still evaluating the patch for the China market. Though it wasn’t mentioned, there could be a chance that this would be the same case for the US-based market.

For the reference of those who missed out on the list of Motorola devices pegged to get the Android 6.0 bump, here is a list via 9to5google.com:
