Presidential candidate Donald Trump proposes to ban all Muslims from entering American soil.

After the brutal San Bernardino shooting, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump suggested a "total and complete shutdown" that will ban all Muslims from entering the United States. In an article by The Guardian, Trump suggested that until the problem is better understood and solved, it is better to ban all Muslims to prevent dangerous threats and incidents.

"Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad and have no sense of reason or respect for human life," Trump said.

In another article by Yahoo, despite many negative reactions that he received because of his proposal, Trump was firm in his belief. The billionaire businessman said that something has to be done until the country's representative has an answer and solution to what is really going on.

Trump detailed the exclusions of his plans. He initially stated that the band would include Muslim-Americans who are traveling abroad. However, he then had a change of heart and made exceptions. He said that if a person is Muslim and goes abroad then comes back to the U.S., then he can come back.

Meanwhile, director of Council on American-Islamic Relations Nihad Awad was clearly not happy with Trump's remarks. He called the ban "outrageous", especially coming from someone who wants to get a position in higher office.

"This is outrageous from someone who wants to assume the highest office," Trump said. "Donald Trump sounds more like the leader of a lynch mob than a great nation like ours."

Trump is currently under fire from Latinos, but with his recent remarks against Muslims, it looks like he has found new enemies. His ways on how to deal with threats that terrorists impose have been viewed as "harsh." The businessman has previously proposed to deport 11 undocumented Latinos when he becomes president.

However, aside from the Hispanic and Muslim communities, a report from CNN stated that Washington "disqualifies" Trump from being president. A spokesman from the White House announced on Tuesday that Trump's declaration to ban Muslims "disqualifies him from serving as president".

Josh Earnest, a White House spokesperson said that every president must take an oath first and foremost to "preserve, protect and defend" the United States Constitution, and Trump would not qualify for it.
