The "Fallout 4" 1.2 update for PC is out. The update comes shortly following the release of the two major beta patches by Bethesda Softworks. Meanwhile, Xbox One and PS4 patches will follow this week, so it won't be a long wait for players of the consoles.
The "Fallout 4" 1.2 update on PC will reportedly be made available via their Steam client. The Xbox One and PS4 updates would need certification with Sony and Microsoft first before an exact release date can be announced. While the process generally takes almost a week to complete, Bethesda appears poised to issue the "Fallout 4" 1.2 update release on Xbox One and PS4 before the week ends.
According to Shack News, the "Fallout 4" 1.2 update basically comes with two new additional features. First is the capability of the keyboard's number pad to be remapped, and second is that the Remapping Activate feature will now be able to work via Quick Container.
As The Inquisitr noted, the "Fallout 4" 1.2 update on PC may come with the disabling of some "Fallout 4" mods.
According to the Reddit group "Fallout", mods disabling has been taking place. There seems to be no cause for worry, however, since according to Reddit user ReverESP, when doing the "Fallout 4" 1.2 update on PC, users must simply open the game's launcher, but "Play" should not be clicked.
In addition, before actually playing the game, Mod users must first open the Nexus mod manager and activate the desired mods.
The "Fallout 4" 1.2 update comes as a welcome addition as it finally addresses players' difficulties with the game's performance on PC, Xbox One and PS4 game consoles. Among these concerns are "general memory and stability improvement", "optimizations to skinned decal rendering", as well as "players becoming stuck in terminals."
