Video game developer, From Software, and publisher, Bandai Namco, have teased fans with a glimpse of the highly anticipated action role-playing game (RPG), "Dark Souls III," with a new trailer that reveals some in-game footage, as well its official release date.

Through the trailer, gamers were given a glimpse of a dark and gritty battle full of zombies, as well as stronger and bigger evil creatures.

However, what the trailer highlights all throughout is the improved swordplay and a new wider range combat system, which will be integrated in the game.

According to the report by Game Rant, the trailer revealed that "Dark Souls III" will also have a Bloodborne-inspired "art direction," besides the combat system, that are reportedly founded on the said action RPG video game from the same developer.

The gaming news outlet added that "Dark Souls III" will give more freedom to players in terms of movement as indicated in the trailer. However, it added that gamers are yet to see From Software's promise of a bigger "Dark Souls" world, given that the trailer only revealed small areas of the game.

On the other hand, besides the gameplay and other improvements shown, the trailer also revealed that the game will be released simultaneously on April 12, 2016 in North America, South America and Europe.

Additionally, Game Rant cited that "Dark Souls III" will be released in two editions come April 12 -- the Day-One Edition and Limited Edition. The Day-One Edition comes with a copy of the game, starter guide, soundtrack copy, and exclusive package.

The Limited Edition, on the other hand, is for the real hardcore fans of the game, as it includes an art book, cloth map, and a 10" Red Knight Statue among the offerings cited in the Day-One Edition. This, however, costs $129.99.

As previously reported by Latinos Post, "Dark Souls 3" will be the last for the "Dark Souls" series, as From Software is looking to explore new genres and develop new games away from their most successful franchise.

Hence, it is expected that more information and details about the game will be revealed before its release, especially with the fact that the game is promised to be the "most refined" in the "Dark Souls" series.

"Dark Souls III," as described by Game Informer, will feature some new improvements, which includes Fast Travel, Respecialization, New Game+, Durability, Summoning and Invasion, and Hidden Walls and Magic.

The game will be released on April 12, 2016 and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
