The looming World War 3, ignited by Turkey when it downed the Russian bomber over Syrian airspace on Nov. 24, was predicted more than 200 years ago by a Jewish oracle, Elijah ben Shlomo Zalman. According to his prediction in 1797, the war between Russia and Turkey will be the end of the world.
The oracle, also known as the Vilna Gaon, had warned Jews to start preparing for the end of the world when Russia conquers Crimea. This had already been fulfilled when Russian President, Vladimir Putin, annexed Crimea in March 2014. He also foretold that Russia would then battle Turkey -- a possibility that grows louder by the day after Turkey's downing of the Russian jet over Syrian airspace.
Vilna Gaon's prophecy was unearthed by his great-grandson Rabbi Moshe Shternbuch in 2014, the Daily Star UK reported. The oracle's prophecy said: "When you hear that the Russians have captured the city of Crimea, you should know that the times of the Messiah have started - that his steps are being heard. And when you hear that the Russians have reached the city of Constantinople, you should put on your Shabbat clothes and don't take them off - because it means that the Messiah is about to come any minute." Constantinople is now called Istanbul, the capital city of Turkey as noted by the Daily Sun.
In the days that followed the downing of the Russian bomber, an angry Russian politician urged Mr. Putin to drop a nuclear bomb in Istanbul as means of revenge. "A nuclear attack can destroy Istanbul very easily. Just one nuclear bomb in the Istanbul Strait will wash the city away," politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky was quoted as saying by the Mirror UK.
A week after Zhirinovsky's statement, Russia announced that it successfully tested its 'doomsday' command center aboard the Ilyushin Il-80 aircraft. The system is meant to protect all significant military communications networks in case a nuclear war erupts. According to RT, Russia and the U.S. were the only countries known to have developed such a command center. Turkey and U.S. are both NATO allies and the Alliance could invoke article 5, which states that an attack to an ally is an attack to all. NATO has 28 other member countries.
A related report from The Express said that Russia's doomsday command center will be ready in the next two weeks. Before Turkey's downing of the Russian jet, the center was scheduled to be put into work in 2016. Aleksander Komyakov, director general of the research and production behind the doomsday command center, said "invincibility" is its main advantage versus its U.S. counterpart.
On December 4, Mr. Putin lambasted Turkey in his yearly address. In his speech, first reported by Morning News USA, the Russian president said Turkey's betrayal "is the worst and most shameful thing to do."
"I would like them to remember this - those in Turkey who shot our pilots in the back, those hypocrites who tried to justify their actions and cover up for terrorists. We'll remind them of what they did, more than once. They'll regret it. We know what to do," Mr. Putin said in his speech.
There were two other Jewish oracles who have foretold that a Russia versus Turkey war would be World War 3. Yisroel Israel ben Eliezer said Russia would ally with Muslims before the apocalyptic war. The Daily Star noted that Russia is in Syria, fighting ISIS, because Shiite Muslim Syrian leader, Bashar al-Assad, had requested it.
Another Jewish oracle, Ben Elizer, gave the same chilling warning. "The Russians will come - they will come and be together with the sons of Ishmael," his prophecy said. Muslims claim they are descendants of Ishmael, first son of Abraham.
