Google is already plowing forward with Android 4.2, yet barely six percent of Android devices are running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, according to Google. If you're an anxious HTC or Motorola smartphone owner, lists of devices from the two companies set to receive Jelly Bean have been released on the Internet.
The list of HTC handsets that will get Jelly Bean updates was provided on Twitter by Football4PDA, who has given reliable information in the past. Still, this isn't an official list from HTC.
Football4PDA's list mentions that the HTC One X+ (Evitare), HTC One XL (Evita), HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE (Fireball), HTC EVO 4G LTE (Jewel), HTC One SV (K2), HTC One VX (Totem C2), HTC One S (Ville), HTC One S C2 (Ville C2), and HTC J (Valente) will all receive Jelly Bean in the future.
No exact release dates were given, but this is still good news for owners of the above-mentioned handsets since they can be sure Jelly Bean will eventually show up on their smartphone.
HTC has already started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the popular One X in various regions around the world.
Motorola recently updated its Android Software Upgrade page to display the release time frames for various Android updates including Jelly Bean. According to the list, the Droid RAZR HD, Droid RAZR MAXX HD, and ATRIX HD will all be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in December 2012 in the United States. The list also gives the Android release times for various regions around the world.
