Back in November, HTC did come out with that interesting Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer which saw the company offer trade-in deals to folks who had an iPhone 6 or 6S plus a $200 and $100 rebate for the chance to get the HTC One A9.
Apparently the trade-in program became a huge hit and now the company has decided to extend that offer all the way to January 7, 2016.
With positive feedback on the offer, the promotion is seen as one reason why the company’s year-over-year-sales saw a 731% increase as reported for the company as reported by Androidandme.com. In the same report, more than 10% of the new customers came from previous iPhone owners or new users.
Part of that record setting sales jump was the HTC One A9 and the trade-in programs which saw a lot of iPhone owners taking them up on their offer and the chance to shift from Apple to Android absolutely for free.
The trade-in program is of course not limited to the iPhone 6, 6S, 6 Plus or 6S Plus. There are other devices that HTC is accepting under the program as well though customers may have to shell out the difference in trade-in value.
That includes devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge which will give customers a $200 credit or maybe even the LG G3 or G4 that will need about $100 as mentioned via Android Authority.
Depending on how satisfied folks are with the Android devices mentioned above, the obvious here is that HTC is trying to entice the folks with the latest iPhones to make that shift on their end and seeing that it would not require them to shell out additional cash, well, it could work.
Hence and depending on how impressed folks are with the HTC One A9, there could be some who would take up the offer.
The HTC One A9 deal was one of multiple offers that the company had offered last month.
Other devices that the company had put up included the HTC One M9 (40% off) and the Nexus 9 tablet (60% off), not to mention a 40% off on HTC accessories.
For those who are unaware here is a run-through on the specs from GSM Arena.
