Game developer Treyarch will host a panel called “Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Unlocking the Potential of AI,” where members of the team talked about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how these can shape the future of games.
Scott Lowe of Activision wrote in a PlayStation Blog post that Treyarch needed to fully overhaul the AI system to cater to the four-player co-op campaign of the shooter game. The panel is also expected to talk about the various components of the game and how the AI systems will affect the multiplayer and overall gameplay, IGN reported.
GameSpot revealed that the panel speakers will include Gary Stelmack, Senior Designer of “Call of Duty Black Ops 3,” SumeetJakatdar, Senior Software Engineer of “Call of Duty Black Ops 3,” YanickLebel, Lead Animator of “Call of Duty Black Ops 3,” and Craig Houston, Lead Writer of “Call of Duty Black Ops 3.”
The “Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Unlocking the Potential of AI” panel will be at PlayStation Experience at the Moscone West Hall, San Francisco on Dec. 5, 2015 at 4PM PST. The panel and others at the venue will also be streamed live on Twitch. There will also be other interesting panels at the convention, such as the panel that will evaluate the future of PlayStation VR and another covering “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.” The PlayStation Experience keynote address is set to start on Dec. 5 at 10AM PST. The full schedule of events are expected to be announced by Dec. 4, 2015. Tickets are currently being sold.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” was recently released on Nov. 5, 2015, playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The National wrote that the game brought cyber warfare to a new level. The game is set in 2016, with cybernetically modified humans, drones and robots wreaking havoc on the battlefield. The characters have a number of technological advantages that make them more powerful than regular soldiers. The battlefields are also well-designed and there is a wide array of weapons and accessories that made the game quite popular among fans through the years. The game also provides deathmatch and capture-and-control contests and multiplayer options. Its multiplayer features particularly set it apart from other shooter titles.
