Neurogadget reported that AMD chipsets might power both the Microsoft Xbox Two and Sony PlayStation 5 when these release. The company guaranteed that AMD chipsets will be more powerful than the current AMD APU in the PS4. The chipset will reportedly be five times even more powerful, which will definitely boost VR and 4K gaming for players.
The PS4 model was launched in 2013, featuring a custom AMD APU that was built via the x86 Jaguar microarchitecture. Due to the build, players can take advantage of games that were previously designed for the PlayStation 3. Sony will maintain the AMD hardware and feature the next-generation chipset.
