Three original tie-in books for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be out in February 2016, just a little over a month before the movie comes to theaters. The first book is titled "Cross Fire" and it tells an original story that happens before the events that fans will see in the movie. The other two books are flip books titled "Guide to the Man of Steel: and :Guide to the Caped Crusader," respectively.
The three books, first seen by the Batman News, also offered glimpse to new character arts for the two superheroes. It also includes a full-color insert with images from the official "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Based from the synopsis of "Cross Fire," the book is a prequel to the much-awaited film from Warner Bros. "After saving Metropolis from an alien invasion, Superman is now famous around the world. Meanwhile, Gotham City's own guardian, Batman, would rather fight crime from the shadows. But when the devious Doctor Aesop escapes from Arkham Asylum, the two very different heroes begin investigating the same case and a young boy is caught in the cross fire," the synopsis on Amazon reads.
The two other books, "Guide to the Man of Steel" and "Guide to the Caped Crusader," are full-color flip books that has all the information that "fans need to know about the stars of the new film," according to Amazon. The vibrant images come with interesting facts about Batman and Superman.
"Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" comes to theaters March 25, 2016. The film is directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio based on a screenplay by David Goyer. Ben Affleck is Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. Gal Gadot will star as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also be in the film. Jesse Eisenberg will star as Lex Luthor while Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Holy Hunter will also be in the film and Jason Momoa will be appearing in a brief role as Aquaman.
The synopsis posted on the official Warner Bros website reads: "Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of her it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."
