"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" had a bumpy release with a lot of customers complaining that the game is infected with a lot of bugs. Hence, in a move to hopefully keep fans playing the game, video game developer Activision released the first free Downloadable Content (DLC) for the sports video game.

According to the report by The Games Cabin, the new 7.8GB patch for "Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5" comes with fixes and tweaks as well as tutorials, new contents, characters, levels and updates.

Coming as a surprise are the addition of Odd Future leader and rapper Tyler the Creator as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as new playable characters for the game which can be customized with their own board arts and tricks.

Two new levels, the Underground and the Wild West, have also been added to the game, allowing players to skate and perform tricks on subways and train tracks. According to Game Rant, there are also new challenges presented in the new levels, however, such challenges are but reworks of challenges of previous levels.

Furthermore, through the free DLC, lighting and visuals of various levels have been improved while Create-a-Park Level, tutorials and Pro-Skater's textures have been updated along with sponsorships.

Meanwhile, a special meter that acts when a single combo is performed has also been added together with Per-Mission leaderboards as well as options to "Return to Freeskate" while in a Mission or Mode or while searching for the other player for Co-op Mission or Mode.

The game's gameplay mechanics and grinds have also been updated in many levels.

On the other hand, the "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" networking has also received major tweaks such as update on user generated content rating system, leaderboard functionality and multiplayer modes. Also added in this area were likes/dislikes on User Generated levels, new challenge UI Flow and modes such as "Daily Grind," "Skate Hoarding" and "Manual Mayhem."

The DLC also had minor fixes and improvements for the User as well as changes through the addition of new options such as double tapping grind button in order to activate slam, opting in or out on Global Voice chat and UI audio effects.

Previously, Latinos Post reported that the game has been bugged and glitches have continuously disrupted the game that was supposed to be a classic beauty. Thus, Activision then promised to fix these bugs and give gamers additional content to at least appease them.
