Ronda Rousey is still out of the limelight, something expected after that beating she got from new UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Holly Holm.

For those who were unable to catch it, Rousey got the worst end of that match, which was capped by a left kick to the face that knocked Rowdy out cold.

Noticeable at that time was Rousey’s busted lip, something that she probably wanted to conceal as she hid her face as best as she could after the fight.

According to the Washington Post, however, it seems that the work done on her by plastic surgeons was perfect, as relayed by UFC President Dana White recently on the Joe Rogan Experience.

“We brought in the best plastic surgeon from Australia (straight after the fight),” says White by way of Fox Sports. “He came in and sewed her lip up and her lip looks awesome.”

This of course waylays earlier talk that the injuries sustained by Rousey were far more serious. Prior to the revelation of her busted lip, there were rumors that she also suffered a broken jaw.

White shot down those rumors and said that Rousey is doing well, although there could be some minimal scarring as a result of the procedure. However, all that could be well concealed by the time Rousey makes her return.

Rousey has kept a low profile since the defeat, something expected by most considering the shock loss at UFC 193 despite the fact that she was the hands-down favorite to defeat Holm.

With UFC 193 out of the way, Rousey is expected to push through with her plans of taking some time off from the UFC circle.

She already hinted about it even before UFC 193, explaining that she needs to fulfill her film obligations from here on. Rousey is set to appear on the remake Roadhouse and debut in Mile 22 opposite Mark Wahlberg.

The two films are expected to keep the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion pretty busy in the coming months, with the planned rematch likely happening by UFC 200, which will take place in July.

Holm already said that she believes that Rousey deserves a rematch, and that she is willing to oblige at any time Rousey and the UFC wants it to happen.

For the meantime, Holm has been making her rounds with her new-found fame, appearing at events and TV shows, including that one where she was spotted alongside Floyd Mayweather Jr. at a recent NBA game.
