"The Walking Dead" fans are left with questions as AMC's hit series prepares for the midseason finale.
Who will get killed? Will Glenn survive? These are just some of the questions that fans are asking in relation to the upcoming midseason finale of "The Walking Dead." In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Yeun reveals the fate that is waiting for Glenn, his well-loved character in the zombie apocalypse-themed series.
In the seventh episode of Season 6 of "The Walking Dead", Glenn miraculously survived the impossible. During the now famous 'dumpster scene', Nicholas, who is played by actor Michael Traynor, shot himself in the head after he said "Thank you" to Glenn. His body landed on top of Glenn, and walkers immediately devoured his dead body. Glenn then managed to hide underneath a nearby dumpster, where he watched his former companion get eaten by the undead.
"I feel relieved. I feel very grateful. I feel so amazed at the response," Yeun said. "I think it proves that this world still can take that story of the good guy winning sometimes. I really like the fact that it's not this bent of always seeking something miserable happening on television or something terrible and sulking on that and rather just really accepting the fact that sometimes good guys survive."
In an article by MTV, fans are also eager to find out if Carl will get shot or if Deanna will be killed. Besides, it wouldn't be "The Walking Dead" if someone doesn't end up dead eventually. In the comics, Alexandria will be overrun by zombies, and when guns start shooting, one of the bullets hits Carl's eyes.
Moreovder, Deanna's death has been an impending speculation among fans since Season 5. Design & Trend reported that Deanna and Rick will have a close encounter with the walkers, and she will end up saving him from the zombies. However, she will be injured possibly by a handsaw or a bite that will eventually cause her death.
However, when it comes to the fate of other characters and the questions of who will bid farewell next, the producers and the showrunners are keeping mum.
"The Walking Dead" has been known for its many twists and surprises, and they are not about to give away spoilers that could ruin the game of tease that they're doing. One thing is for sure though. Fans are not going to be very happy if they decide to kill Glenn, same as how "Game of Thrones" fans reacted intensely with Jon Snow's 'death'.
Catch the next episode of "The Walking Dead" on Sunday, November 29, at 9 p.m. EST at AMC.
