'Frozen 2' is coming, and kids and kids-at-heart better be ready!
According to a report from Christian Today, "Frozen 2" is in a lot of pressure, especially with the global success of the first movie. Disney is making sure that the next film will be able to live up to the hype that all the avid fans are expecting.
Everything that fans need to know about the movie is still under wraps. The second instalment will not be hitting the theatres anytime soon. According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, they will not be rushing to make the next film because they don't want to compromise the quality of the movie.
It was reported in August that Director Chris Buck and co-director Jennifer Lee are brainstorming and throwing ideas around. Buck mentioned that they already have a story for the next movie, and claimed that it is "very strong."
The director did not elaborate further about the plot, but he did mention that Elsa's fun personality would be able to shine through on the next film. Buck said that in the first movie, fans saw her serious side as the "Ice Queen", but the next instalment would be completely different for Elsa. He also noted that the sisters will remain the "heart" of the film.
"We have two very strong female leads in 'Frozen.' We will keep that going in the next one. We will tackle other issues that, I think, are out there today that boys and girls, men and women, are dealing with," Buck said.
In another article by Telegraph, it has been confirmed that Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel will still be part of the film. Besides, it wouldn't be the same if the producers were to change the voices of Ana and Elsa.
There are also rumors that the next movie will be a duet between the sisters. Given that the soundtrack of the film has been massively successful, Disney may want to add more scenes where the sisters get to do a sing-off.
"I think they'll definitely try to position one song as a Let It Go-trumping central number. At a guess, though, it might be a duet between the sisters. They only shared about four scenes in the first film, so I feel that a more detailed development of that relationship has got to be the way to go," a film critic said.
For Olaf's fans, it seems the friendly snowman will be given a girlfriend in the next movie. The popular character might be paired with a new character that will surely send the cuteness overload of the film to an edge.
