On Sunday France confirmed airstrikes on the ISIS run city of Raqqa in Syria. On Tuesday both Russia and France rained hell fire over Syria.

The Islamic State admitted to downing a Russian jet in October. As Reuters reports, ISIS said the attacks on Paris and Russia was in retaliation to French and Russian air raids in Iraq and Syria.

Most are still in shock from the tragic terror that echoed throughout Paris Friday night. Islamic State supporters killed a total of 129 people when they launched attacks at six different sites. The hail of gunfire that hit the Bataclan Concert Hall claimed over 80 lives. The Stade de France and the Petit Cambodge Cambodian café were also attacked.

France retaliated by striking a command center and a recruitment center in Raqqa. It was previously reported no civilians were hurt.

ISIS attacked Russia when the downed a jet killing over 220 people. At that time, Vladimir Putin promised he would take down whoever was responsible.

"Our air force's military work in Syria must not simply be continued," he said. "It must be intensified in such a way that the criminals understand that retribution is inevitable."

Reuters explains, Putin spoke to French President Francois Hollande by telephone and ordered the Russian navy to establish contact with a French naval force heading to the eastern Mediterranean, led by an aircraft carrier, and to treat them as allies.

Hollande will visit Putin in Moscow on Nov. 26, the day after he speak with President Obama, in an effort to "push for a concerted drive against Islamic State, which controls large parts of Syria and Iraq," Reuters adds.

"We need to work out a plan with them of joint sea and air actions," Putin told military chiefs.

According to Daily Mail, Russian forces today carried out 34 cruise missile strikes over Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo. They also deployed long-range Tu-160, Tu-95 and Tu-22 bombers from Russian bases.

"Russia is shifting because today Russian cruise missiles hit Raqqa. Maybe today this grand coalition with Russia is possible," French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told TF1 television channel on Tuesday evening.
