The “Star Wars Battlefront” Season Pass will be available soon at $50. Here are the full details on the inclusions.
GottaBeMobile wrote that Electronic Arts and DICE recently updated the official website of the game, providing new details about new expansions and the season pass details.
IGN reported that the season pass will feature four expansion packs, early access to the game expansions by two weeks, plus an exclusive “Shoot First” emote. New updates revealed that there will be four additional Heroes and Villains, although their identities have not yet been presented. Game developer EA also shared that there will be four new game modes, 16 new multiplayer maps and over 20 new pieces of galactic tech, consisting of vehicles, weapons and Star Cards for both Rebels and Imperials.
Other features to expect include grabbing power ups and spending some time as a legendary hero or villain that can turn the tide of the match. Currently, it is known that players can take on the role of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. EA is expected to feature more of the famous characters from the original storyline as more updates and content are unveiled. GottaBeMobile wrote that the four game modes will be divided into each of the coming expansions.
Polygon stated that the first expansion will be available as downloadable content (DLC) early in 2016. The season pass will not include the first DLC piece, the Battle of Jakku, which will become available in December 2015. Players who preordered “Star Wars Battlefront” will receive the map on Dec. 1, while regular gamers will have it on Dec. 8.
“Star Wars Battlefront” is expected to be the ultimate combat simulation for all fans of the franchise. All the weapons, vehicles, characters and environments are directly taken from the movie franchise. Based on the website, each expansion may be sold independently so players have a choice on which one to play or to collect all.
“Star Wars Battlefront” launched on Nov. 17, 2015 in the United States and Europe, playable on PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC. The base game will cost $60. The game showcases several of the familiar characters from the film franchise. Users also expect new ones to be added after the film “Episode VII: The Force Awakens” launches later in December 2015. EA has not yet provided a launch schedule on the new content expansions. More updates and details on the game and season pass are expected in the coming weeks.
