Previously, rumors were circulating that Square Enix will release a new official trailer of “Kingdom Hearts 3.” However, the studio shot down the reports.
Gamers expected a new video footage to surface on Nov. 4, 2015. Apparently, the rumor was not true and Square Enix actually has no information on plans to feature a new trailer soon.
Dan Seto, moderator of the game developer, made it clear by posting on Twitter that all the discussions were spread without any basis and that these were untrue. Seto added that Square Enix already shared its plan regarding an official trailer and emphasized that the team is not planning to release an official video in the near future. Square Enix thanked fans for their continued love and support for the “Kingdom Hearts” franchise, and promised that they would immediately provide them with details about the upcoming game as soon as it is ready.
Recently, Square Enix presented a screenshot from the game, showing Sora, Goof and Donald in a new environment, Gaming Bolt reported. The three characters were on a ride, which made fans think that “Toy Story” will be part of the new game.
Master Herald wrote that the “Kingdom Hearts” series has grown into one of the most popular games since its launch in 2002. Currently, the franchise has 11 new installments. The game has become a favorite among players because of the availability of Disney and Square Enix characters. Through the years, the game studio has added new familiar faces in the roster that spur gamers to keep coming back for more. Some of the characters that have appeared in the series include Sora, King Mickey, Riku, Donald Duck, Ansem, Jiminy Cricket, Maleficent, Isa and Braig, among others.
There were rumors that the blasters from “Toy Story” will become available in the upcoming game. Downloadable characters will most likely be available too. The plot, however, remains unknown at the moment. Game Informer featured some of the newest worlds that will be available in the new game, featuring a number of hit movies like “Big Hero 6” and “Tangled.” San Fransokyo and the characters from “Big Hero 6” will allegedly be shown in the game. Rapunzel’s tower and the woods nearby were also spotted. There were reports that a trailer was available, although privately debuted, showing new combat mechanics and an unknown Nobody, an enemy wielding a scythe.
Tetsuya Nomura, “Kingdom Hearts 3” director, stated that there is official release date for “Kingdom Hearts 3” yet. The game is expected to be playable on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
