It's time again to award the best in the gaming industry.
"The Game Awards 2015" has announced its full list of nominees that will compete for the silverware on categories that include Game of the Year, Developer of the Year, Best Independent Game, Best Mobile/Handheld Game, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score/Soundtrack and Best Performance
Also included in the list of awards are Games for Change, Best Shooter, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Role-Playing Game, Best fighting Game, Best Family Game, Best Sports/Racing Game, Best Multiplayer and Most Anticipated Game.
Moreover, in recognition of the rise of eSports and its contribution to the industry, "The Game Awards 2015" will also reward the eSports Player of the Year, eSports Team of the Year and eSports Game of the Year.
The gaming awarding body will also honor the best Trending Gamer and best Fan Creation.
The list of nominees for the highly anticipated and most sought after Game of the Year award are pretty stacked up especially with the high grossing and highly praised games in the lineup. Among the games vying for the award are "Bloodborne," the recently released "Fallout 4," "Metal Gear Solid V," "Super Mario Maker," and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."
Meanwhile, battling it out as Developer of the Year are Bethesda Game Studios, CD Projekt Red, From Software, Kojima Productions, and Nintendo.
Games such as "Downwell," "Fallout Shelter," "Lara Croft Go," Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate," and "Pac-Man 256" are also nominated for the Best Mobile/Handheld game- a niche that has seen an increasing popularity over the past years.
Not to be left behind, the eSport community had also a share in this year's "The Game Awards" with games such as "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," "Counter-Strike" Global Offensive," "Dota 2," Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft," and "League of legends" contending for eSports Game of the Year.
According to the report by Game Rant, "The Game Awards" was scheduled to take off on December 3, 2015 and will be shown via livestream on Twitch, YouTube, Steam, the PlayStation Network, Wii U, Xbox Live and Go90.
The nominees were selected by a panel of judges that came from 32 publications from all over the world. However, in order to be deemed eligible, games and titles should be commercially released on or before November 24, 2015.
"The Game Awards 2015" will roll on December 3, 2015 at Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California.
