Nintendo has released information that the protagonist for "Final Fantasy 7," Cloud Strife will be available to play via DLC for "Super Smash Bros."

Comic Book reports that the character will have two separate skins available for use. The first skin will be his default "Final Fantasy 7" costume while Cloud's second skin will be his "Advent Children" costume.

It seems that both costumes will have Cloud sporting his trademark Buster Sword.

Game play wise Cloud will be retaining a lot of moves that he had in "Final Fantasy 7." IGN reports that Cloud will be able to use every one of his Limit break moves that are in his arsenal, including Omnislash.

With regards to his regular attacks, Cloud looks like he will be using his Buster Sword's reach and attack advantages to full use, as he looks to be a rush down, heavy offense character, rather than a defensive character.

From what was released in the trailer, it seems that Cloud will also have access to a wide array of summoning spells that were featured in "Final Fantasy 7." These summon spells include Odin, Leviathan, Ramuh, Infrit and Bahumut.

While the inclusion of Cloud to the "Super Smash Bros" character roster has already garnered a lot of praise from the fighting game community, many question his inclusion.

The main reason is that it is an unwritten rule for any character to be included in a "Smash Bros" game is that the character has to have appeared in a game that debuted on a Nintendo System.

So while Cloud's inclusion in "Super Smash Bros" is a great fan service and all, it doesn't change the fact that the two games that the character was featured in, namely "Final Fantasy 7" and "Final Fantasy Crisis Core," were Sony exclusives and not Nintendo's.

Currently, there is no word on why Cloud was introduced into the line-up, but many are stating that his inclusion is due to a special ballot vote that Nintendo held and concluded Oct. 3, 2015.

While the game has been selling well for both the Wii U and the 3DS, critics are stating that the current state of online play is really hurting the community which supports the game.

Nintendo has not released any further information about Cloud with regards to when the character will be made available for play.
