Nintendo is expected to make an appearance in the mobile gaming segment soon, but the better news is that the iconic gaming brand responsible for bringing Super Mario and Donkey Kong to stardom will be offering its first wave of gaming apps for free.
For the ones who love to download gaming apps, Nintendo is expected to be barraged by folks who are pretty much familiar with the popular games under its wing.
At present, there is only one game title out in the open, Miitomo, though the app is seen more as a social app than a game. It makes use of the virtual Mii characters some Wii users are familiar with which is of course not an actual game but more of a representation of the user behind it.
Miitomo allows users to create avatars which will likely include some in-app purchases for folks that want to stand out. But at the end of it all, this is hardly something that can be considered a mobile game app that folks would want to have.
Nintendo will be partnering with DeNa Co. to help come out with an initial five gaming titles for now. All the games will be free to play though expect some in-app purchases to go along with that claim.
Apparently there is a need to monetize to support these games though such could come in the form of ads in-game similar to the ones other present gaming apps carry.
Then again some ads (annoying as it may be for some) shouldn’t hurt just as long as folks are careful on what they tap.
All that aside, it seems that Nintendo has finally realized what they are missing. There are tons of free gaming apps available for download and based on various industry reports, the free gaming sector is one of the most profitable ones.
Hearing Nintendo dipping its hand here is already creating a spur. Everyone is familiar with the brand and what it has done through decades so all that remains now is the actual games that the company plans to release among its first five titles.
Highly anticipated are the big name games that have brought fame to Nintendo – Super Mario, Donkey Kong and the rest of the Nintendo gaming family clan.
On which games Nintendo and DeNa release (aside from Miitomo) has yet to be known though if plans stay the course, such should be revealed if the games are indeed released alongside Miitomo by March 2016.
