In a candid interview, supermodel Gisele Bundchen revealed that she nearly dumped husband Tom Brady back when they were still dating.
According to an article from Latin Post, Gisele Bundchen nearly dumped Tom Brady early in their relationship after he impregnated his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. The supermodel said that it was a challenging time for her because she was having a good time and everything was going great.
"It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking, I'm dating this guy, we met, and we started dating and everything is great and then this happens," Bundchen said. "So, then I felt like I didn't know what to do. It was kind of one of those moments of like, 'Do I just run away?'"
But the supermodel decided to stick around and pursue her relationship with the Patriots quarterback. And now, with a smile Bundchen said that she is thankful for her "bonus" child, referring to Brady's eldest child John Moynahan.
Although there was a little bit of rift before, People reported that Moynahan and the Brady's found a balance in co-parenting. Moynahan and the quarterback player had a two-year relationship before calling it quits in December 2006. The actress' representative said that it was an "amicable" breakup but on February 2007, her rep confirmed that she was pregnant with Brady's baby.
Despite reports that Moynahan and Brady have a bitter relationship, the two was able to actually maintain a civil relationship to raise their son properly. Moynahan recently wedded businessman Andrew Frankel in a ceremony that took place in The Hamptons.
Meanwhile, Bundchen spoke only praises when it comes to her husband. The supermodel described Brady as a "very kind" man and added that they have been through tough times together, People magazine reported. This probably included Brady's "Deflategate" controversy as well as divorce rumors.
"I think we've been through a few tough times together. I think that's when you know, who are your friends, and who loves you. My father always says 'the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships,'" Bundchen said.
The former Victoria's Secret model, whose exclusive coffee table book priced at $700 sold out before it even hits the shelves, said that she feels grateful and fulfilled at where she is in her life right now. She also added that she and Brady remain supportive of each other which she says is "the most important thing you can have in your life."
