Another Samsung device is set to get an Android bump in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE with model number SM-N750.

The device is all set to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update soon, welcome news considering the device has not been updated in the last six months.

Roll out for the new Android 5.1.1 is reportedly set to take place in the coming weeks according to You Mobile. With that said, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE are encouraged to keep track of their devices’ notification settings just in case it is already available for application.

This overdue update comes in the nick of time with Android 5.1.1 bringing in lots of new features and improvements for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE.

Among the things to look forward including an improved user interface experience as well as tweaks made to help improve the battery life. The new interface will be more dynamic and easier, something that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo owners are bound to benefit from.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo features NFC capabilities, meaning that the latest Android OS will set up the device with previously installed applications that include wallpaper, screen layouts and carry on the WiFi and location settings that may have been previously set.

Also, the Android 5.1.1 update should help out device owners to sync their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo with other Android-run devices like smartwatches or TV sets.

Notable with the Android 5.1.1 update is that it does carry a security patch to address the celebrated Stagefright bug.

As mentioned in a previous post, Stagefright is an exploit that grants access to hackers on a person’s device. Such is carried out via MMS or media files like MP3s or MP4s.

For the benefit of folks who may not be familiar with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE, this is a device that sports a 5.5-inch screen (720x1280 pixels) display, that runs on an Exynos 5260 chipset supporting a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 CPU and a dual-core 1.7 GHz Cortez A15 CPU.

It is further supported by 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD), an 8 MP main camera, a 2 MP front-facing camera, and a removable 3100 mAh battery.

The device was released back in February 2014.

Though it would have been sweeter had Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 5.1.1 will have to do for now.

In the event that the Android update does become available, remember to make sure that your device is at least 50% charged and that you have a reliable an Internet connection to make sure the patch is downloaded properly.
