Tis' the week for video binging, so says Microsoft in the wake of its announcement of the Xbox One Backward Compatibility.

Xbox's Director of Program Management, Mike Ybarra, said in an official blog post that the company will be rolling out the New Xbox One Experience on November 12, and it will come with the backward compatibility feature. As such, owners of the gaming console will be able to play over 100 titles for free, as the first 104 games compatible with Xbox 360 that can be played on Xbox One will be released on the said date. Of course, Xbox One users need to have a copy of the 360 game they wish to enjoy on the newer gaming console, Time noted.

This is only the beginning. Microsoft will continue to add new titles regularly beginning December this year. Expect Kinect-enabled games to be absent from the list as such titles cannot work on Xbox One.

"You can play supported titles you already own by going to My Games and Apps and downloading them to your Xbox One," Cinema Blend said. "If you have the disc, you can simply insert it into your Xbox One and install the game."
