Cyber Connect 2 higher up Hiroshi Matsuyama stated recently in an interview that a new mode as well as a better storyline and polished graphics will be added to "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4."

According to IGN, the game has been delayed to a February 2016 release back in August. CC2 confirmed that this delay is to further ensure the game's fun factor, as well as its lifespan. Matsuyama has stated that this is the first game for the new generation of consoles that CC2 has developed, and that the company wants to put their best foot forward for fans of the franchise.

Yabida reports that the new game mode will be called Adventure Mode. In this mode, players will be able to roam freely around the Hidden Leaf Village and the Hidden Sand Village, as well as in the areas surrounding both villages. In adventure mode, players will receive several quests wherein they can choose and switch which ninjas they want to bring on the quest.

After each quest is done, players will then receive a hidden cut scene and events as rewards. CC2 plans to have this mode available upon release, and the mode will also will have multi-player capabilities, allowing players to share and complete quests together.

CC2 has also confirmed that they are currently working on DLC content for the game, which will include three separate DLC packages with a new character, as well as new scenarios for the adventure mode. Also included in these DLC packs will be secret techniques that can only be used by certain characters, such as the Kage Bunshin No Jutsu of Naruto.

If these new features are not enough for fans of the game, Cyber Connect 2 has also confirmed that those who will pre-order "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Collector's Edition" will receive a Naruto x Sasuke Future Pack Metal Case, Sasuke Metal Plate, a Naruto (the Last) 17cm figurine, as well as an exclusive Storm Memories artbook.

"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" currently holds the record for the most characters included in a "Naruto Shippuden" fighting game, with the roster currently holding around 50 characters. However, it seems that the number is bound to grow as new DLC characters are sure to be included down the road.

The game is to be released in Japan on February 4, 2016 and the rest of the world on February 9, 2016. The game will be available on both the Playstation 4 and the XboxOne.
