While Facebook continues to expand its form of content by allowing more than 1.5 billion users to swap messages, photos, and videos, bigger anticipation holds for the induction of a new music platform that will mark its latest effort to boost the world's music experience in just a slide of a fingertip.  

Up against many online streaming sites that cater outstanding music experience, Facebook's new feature, dubbed as "Music Stories," "creates a tidy, user-friendly Facebook entry that would make an active exchange of musical preferences among friends and family," reports The Indian Express.   

Additionally, The Indian Express furthered that "Music Stories will initially only work on Facebook's Apple-compatible mobile app for users with accounts on streaming leader Spotify or Apple Music."

A person listening to a song on a streaming site would "share" and then "copy" the link. If it suits the listener's preference, he or she would then paste it on Facebook, and then create an attractive commentary that others can talk about. Finally, friends and family will see the post with options to hear the song.

Music Stories are only available on the Facebook iPhone app starting today, according to Engadget, and there's no word on when or if they will arrive on Android and other versions of software. Meanwhile, here are the 5 reasons why you should be thrilled about Music Stories.

1. Simplified music experience

Through the music app, songs shared either through a URL or "share" button within Spotify and Apple Music will be simplified and manufactured as 30-second song samples on iOS users' news feeds. If a song catches the heart of a listener after a handful of seconds, then he or she can add that music to his streaming service accounts.

2. Explicit Sharing

This new feature is a different take on social music sharing than what other online streaming offers. Music Stories sees the importance of engaging Facebook users through the journey of music rather than only pasting links on feeds. So this is the vision of explicit sharing, where users can make a specific recommendation about their music discovery, or ever-favorite band. It is giving more personality to the users who will share their favorite song and produce an attractive preview on it for others to interact with.

3. Digital Convenience

Through Facebook's audio player as supported by Spotify and Apple Music, users are given more convenience to listen through songs and albums without having to leave the app.

More than that, what is more fascinating is that you don't need to have Spotify or Apple Music installed on your phone, or be a subscriber to either service, to continue banging to your new-found jam, as reported by The Verge. Users can save songs to their music collection through the Facebook music streaming app, or buy it from iTunes by clicking a button on the post.

4. Quick recognition for Bands and Musicians

While the numerous integration of content towards people's interest and preferences were packed inside Facebook, people would obviously feel its magnitude by the time it shakes the ground. And through this new addition that will give users a greater amount of time in their feeds, there will be greater waves of recognition clashing on different bands and musicians in the world.

5. Additional Streaming Music Services

Though Facebook's Music Stories would not be possible if songs are not shared directly from Spotify and Apple music, The Verge reported that Facebook was holding talks with labels about their renewed interest in music, which means that the music platform could cooperate with other streaming music services in the future to expand resources.
