WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
A "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" synopsis has just been released. More than anything else, it puts supervillain Lex Luthor in the limelight as it explains his master plan against Batman and Superman.
As reported by Den of Geek, Odeon Cinemas in the UK posted a new synopsis on Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
The synopsis reads:
"At long last, see Batman and Superman square off against each other in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice', an epic superhero showdown which will change both their lives forever.
Clark Kent doesn't trust Gotham's mysterious masked vigilante. Bruce Wayne doesn't trust the alien who nearly destroyed Metropolis. And Lex Luthor, who hates Superman more than anyone, is manipulating both of them for his own twisted ends.
Choose your side: the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight? Learn the answer to the age-old question - who would win? - in 'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice'."
Everybody knows Lex Luthor (Jessie Eisenberg) is the villain in the movie, and it's now clear that he's pretty much the reason for Batman and Superman's rivalry, according to Game Spot.
This would be an intriguing plot since how much Luthor's deception would go will spell the intensity between the two superheroes' feud.
According to Screen Rant, the "Batman V Superman" teaser trailer and viral marketing have already revealed hints as to why Lex hated Superman to his core.
In an "interview" with Fortune Magazine, Eisenberg revealed that Lex Luthor's father, who is based in Germany, has had great influence on Lex's worldviews, specifically his skepticism about powerful individuals and their claim to help the greater good. Lex said he'd "hate to see that sort of thing happen over here," hinting at his motive for hating Superman. He is jealous of the Man of Steel's natural superpowers since his father had to toil to build their company.
Following "Man of Steel's" final battle, audiences got a glimpse of how the public sees Superman. Lex Luthor may use the half of the Earth, who's wary of Superman, against the superhero himself.
As for Batman, it's highly likely that Batman would steal Kryptonite from Lex, Screen Rant reports.
In the end, only time will tell how much Lex Luthor's role will turn the tide of things. One thing is sure though, Lex Luthor will be the bane of Batman and Superman's existence in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."
"Dawn of Justice" is set to hit theaters March 25, 2016.
